Summary of Role
Responsible for the accurate and timely management of accounts receivable activities and customs declarations, ensuring customer accounts are maintained, payments are collected, and import/export documentation complies with applicable customs and tax requirements. In addition, the role will involve some sales support administration.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Raise and issue customer invoices and credit notes.
- Manage cash collection of cash sales prior to delivery
- Assist sales reps in following up on overdue invoices and support credit control activities.
- Investigate and resolve customer account and payment queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system.
- Liaise with sales, operations and customers regarding billing issues.
- Sales Support Administration.
Customs Declarations
- Liaise with external hauliers and their customs teams to prepare and submit export customs declarations accurately and within required deadlines.
- Ensure customs documentation is complete and correctly coded.
- Verify commodity codes, customs values, country of origin and other required information.
- Monitor customs entries and resolve discrepancies or queries.
- Maintain records of customs declarations and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Revenue/customs procedures and company policies.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in accounts receivable, credit control or finance administration.
- Experience with customs declarations desirable
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to speak fluent English
Qualifications
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Accounting, bookkeeping, logistics or customs qualification is an advantage.
- Relevant practical experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
Pay: €16.00-€18.00 per hour
