We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
Responsibilities:
Manage overall project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, administration, and payment certification
Maintain accurate and detailed commercial and financial reporting systems
Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
Administer contracts, including variations, claims, and final account preparation
Ensure financial compliance with company policies and contractual requirements
Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams, and project stakeholders
Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with commercial objectives and milestones
Support estimating activities and cost planning where required
Maintain strong commercial awareness and ensure project profitability
Requirements & Experience:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
6–10 years’ experience in civil engineering or building construction projects
Experience in large-scale infrastructure or design-and-build projects preferred
Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and financial control
Understanding of main contract conditions and commercial procedures
Experience with estimating systems (e.g., Candy or similar) is an advantage
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
Chartered or working towards SCSI / RICS accreditation
Experience with commercial management software (e.g., Candy, IFS)
Pay: €45,603.82-€94,374.97 per year
