Baker Opportunity at Moriarty’s Super Valu, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Baker (confectionary & Bread) for our Balbriggan store.

The Role:
This is a full-time position working an average of 40 – 42.5 hours per week, 5 shifts over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. The successful candidate will work with our in-store bakery team preparing breads, cakes/pastries for our in-store fresh foods range.
Main Duties:
- Assisting the Head Baker in the day to day running of our busy in-store bakery department.
- Baking a range of breads
- Baking novelty cakes and small cakes
- HACCP duties.
- Food preparation.
- Menu/product development.
- Waste management.
- Providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2/3 years’ experience as a Baker. (preferably within a bakery producing a high volume of product). Unfortunately candidates who do not have this experience cannot be considered for the role.
- Must be able to bake a variety of breads.
- Must be able to make cakes – small and novelty.
- Must be HACCP trained.
- Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
- Must be enthusiastic about the department.
- Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the bakery dept.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Must be available for early starts and late finishes (if required).

Salary: Circa €31,000 pa DOE.
