Job Description
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the hotel’s commercial strategy to maximise revenue, market share, and brand positioning across all segments including corporate, leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events), and group business, while overseeing all sales, marketing, and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will develop and implement the overall sales and marketing strategy for the hotel.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will lead, manage, and motivate the sales and marketing team.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will drive revenue growth across rooms, conferences, events, and food & beverage.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will set annual sales targets, budgets, and forecasting in collaboration with senior management.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will identify and secure key corporate, leisure, and MICE business opportunities.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee pricing strategies in collaboration with Revenue Management.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will manage key accounts and maintain high-value client relationships.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will direct all marketing activities including digital, social media, PR, and branding.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee advertising campaigns, promotions, and brand positioning.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will analyse market trends, competitor activity, and performance data.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will ensure strong online presence across OTAs, website, and digital platforms.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee the negotiation of major contracts, corporate agreements, and partnerships.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will monitor sales performance, and report results to the General Manager.
- The Director of Sales & Marketing will drive business development initiatives to grow market share and profitability.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing or senior hotel sales leadership role.
- Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and commercial success.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of hotel distribution channels and market segmentation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
- Advanced sales, marketing, or revenue management qualifications.
