Gym Operations & Business Development Executive
Maternity Cover | Crixus Gym, Fermoy
We’re looking for a motivated, confident and proactive person to join the Crixus Gym team on a maternity cover contract. 30 hours per week
This is much more than a reception role. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of the gym while helping us grow memberships, improve member retention and deliver an excellent experience for our members.
The Role
As our Gym Operations & Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Driving new membership sales and following up on enquiries and leads
- Developing ideas and initiatives to help grow the gym
- Improving member retention, engagement and overall experience
- Welcoming new members and supporting them through their first weeks at Crixus
- Managing and coordinating staff rotas
- Supporting membership promotions, campaigns and events
- Building relationships with members and the local community
- Handling member queries professionally and efficiently
- Overseeing the day-to-day organisation of the gym
- Maintaining exceptional standards of gym presentation, hygiene and cleanliness
- Identifying areas that need attention and taking action without needing to be asked
- Working closely with the Crixus team to ensure the gym runs smoothly

- Genuinely interested in fitness, health and training
- Positive, energetic and willing to get involved in all aspects of the business
- Comfortable taking responsibility and solving problems as they arise
Fitness Experience
A Personal Training or fitness qualification would be a strong advantage, but it is not essential.
We are equally interested in someone with experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail or business development who has a genuine passion for fitness and would thrive in a gym environment.

Maternity Cover Position
