Located in the heart of Letterkenny, Bloem is a busy, community-focused coffee shop known for our great coffee, fresh food, and welcoming atmosphere. We are currently looking for an energetic and reliable Cook / Kitchen Hand to join our friendly team. If you love working with fresh ingredients in a fast-paced environment and take pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly, we’d love to meet you!
As our Cook / Kitchen Hand, you will be the backbone of our food offering. You will assist with daily food preparation, cooking our café menu (soups, sandwiches, breakfast items, etc.), and ensuring the kitchen is kept spotless and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking high-quality café food to order.
- Assisting with daily prep work.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Monitoring stock levels and helping put away deliveries.
- Working closely with the barista and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service during busy breakfast and lunch rushes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen, café, or catering environment is preferred.
- A solid understanding of food hygiene and HACCP principles (certificate is a plus!).
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy rushes.
- A positive, team-player attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Reliability and punctuality.

What We Offer:
- Working Hours: No split shifts! Daytime hours only, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Weekends required on a rotating basis.
- Pay: €15-17 to start, with clear opportunities for pay increases as you grow into the role.
