We are now inviting applications for our Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme 2027.
Successful candidates will be placed on projects in Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe.
The Dornan Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme allows participants the opportunity to work on live projects with experienced engineers and you will get exposure to low voltage and medium voltage systems, busbar systems, general lighting systems, power distribution, diesel generator systems and many more. Our Graduate Programme ensures that graduates get exposure to all facets of the electrical engineering role within a live construction setting.
Your day to day will include:

Assisting with the preparation of reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take off's and out to tender schedules.

Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.

Prepare and update the delivery schedule to control deliveries

Seek to clarify queries with the Design team through the request for information (RFI) system

Prepare programs using MS project.

Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.

Produce look ahead programs to assist production.

Prepare method statements and risk assessments (with construction team) for production activities

Maintain a register of contract variations.

Prepare test packs for recording the completion of systems.

Carry out Quality Control through inspections and snagging

Carry out document control, recording & transmitting information

Assisting projects with financial control of contracts during construction stage.

Liaise and co-ordinate with client's other members of the design team and contractors on technical issues.
What we are looking for:

Working towards an Electrical Engineering Degree (Level 8).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
What happens next:

Your application will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in November and December of 2026.

Offers will be issued in January and February of 2027, and following this you will be assigned to your business unit and mentor.

You will commence with Dornan from June 2027.
