The Role
The Practice Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient workflows, excellent patient service, and strong administrative support for the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities across the practice.
- Ensure the smooth running of the reception and administrative functions.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures.
- Optimise practice workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and track income streams, including private practice and state-funded services.
- Track and manage practice expenses.
- Maintain financial records and practice spreadsheets.
- Coordinate payroll processes.
- Manage and respond to patient feedback and complaints professionally.
- Provide HR and administrative support to existing staff.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Schedule, organise, and attend practice and partner meetings.
- Provide administrative support to clinicians and contribute to the overall success of the practice.
- Experience with General Practice or GMS contracts is not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.

Essential Requirements
- Previous management, office management, or supervisory experience.
- Strong IT proficiency and excellent administrative skills.
- Experience managing workflows, processes, and operational tasks.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Desirable but Not Essential
- Experience working within a healthcare, GP, or medical setting.
- Experience with healthcare funding or reimbursement systems.
