As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for the efficient and organised operation of the company’s warehouse, ensuring accurate stock control and supporting inventory and purchasing processes. This role sits within the operations function and plays a vital role in supporting engineering projects across the business. You will ensure all materials, tools and equipment are stored securely, tracked accurately and readily available when required. The role also includes transporting materials to and from sites using a company van. Based in Slane, Co Meath, this position involves travel during working hours and close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability of resources.

Responsibilities-
Maintain accurate inventory records of materials, tools and equipment

Track stock movements including goods received, stored and issued

Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies

Monitor stock levels and support procurement activities, including raising purchase orders

Perform goods-in checks to ensure deliveries match purchase orders and specifications

Organise and store materials securely to ensure accessibility and safe handling

Track plant equipment and monitor calibration dates

Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment

Transport materials, tools and equipment between sites and suppliers using a company van

Ensure all goods are securely loaded and delivered in good condition

Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely availability of materials

Act as a point of contact for stores-related queries and resolve supplier issues
Requirements-
Full, clean driver’s license with experience driving a van or similar vehicle

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Proficient in using stock management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse and while transporting goods

Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably within an engineering or construction environment

Familiarity with stock control and inventory management systems

Experience with procurement processes is an advantage
