Key Responsibilities
Financial management: Management of the day-to-day operations of the finance function including the Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Cash Flow and Payroll functions, ensuring accurate accounting practices.
Budgeting and forecasting Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and identification of potential risks.
Reporting Preparation of regular management accounts, statutory accounts, key performance indicators and other reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Financial regulatory compliance Ensure effective financial control and compliance to Charities Regulator requirements and other relevant regulations, management of annual audit process. Development and review of finance related policies and procedures.
Funding management Developing and managing various funding streams, contributing to the development of funding applications.
Strategic Planning Contribution to the organisations strategic financial planning and long-term business goals. Identification of cost saving opportunities.
Desired qualifications, skills and experience
· Third level qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business related area, Level 8 qualification desirable.
· A minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or finance related role
· Experience with accountancy software packages such as BriteHR or similar with expertise in financial systems implementation desirable
· A self-starter, highly computer literate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Outstanding client service, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
· Understanding of financial principles, operational processes, best practices and the ability to develop and implement solutions to generate results.
What we offer:
Salary range - €35,000 plus depending on experience
