Main Purpose of the Job: Providing support to adults with additional needs who attend iADULT.
Main Duties:
1. Follow the Personal Outcomes Evaluating System, ensuring the best possible outcomes for individuals while
maintaining their dignity, rights, and independence.
2. Oversee and support the updating of personal outcomes, ensuring regular assessments of individuals’ needs,
tracking progress, and reporting weekly to management.
3. Facilitate communication and coordination between colleagues, management, and external committees to
ensure consistency in care and support services.
4. Provide direct practical help, support, and guidance to service users, leading by example in best practices.
5. Ensure intimate care protocols are followed appropriately, offering guidance and support to staff as needed.
6. Assist in implementing and monitoring risk assessment procedures, ensuring compliance and safety within
the service area.
7. Administer medication in accordance with organizational policies and assist in ensuring medication records
are accurately maintained.
8. Maintain daily logs and oversee documentation quality among the team, ensuring consistency and
completeness.
9. Ensure all reporting procedures are followed, particularly in relation to concerns such as safeguarding and
abuse, and provide guidance to staff on appropriate actions.
10. Lead the implementation of care, educational, social, and employment-related programmes, ensuring a
person-centred approach.
11. Act as a key worker for specific service users, guiding and supporting their Person-Centred Planning process
while ensuring proper record-keeping.
12. Work in partnership with the local community, advocating for inclusion and the active participation of service
users.
13. Foster a positive team environment, promoting open communication, collaboration, and problem-solving
among staff.
14. Ensure adherence to all Policies and Procedures, providing guidance and clarification to team members as
needed.
15. Support and enforce compliance with adult safeguarding procedures, ensuring all concerns are escalated
appropriately.
16. Promote and maintain Health & Safety standards, conducting periodic checks and ensuring staff compliance.
17. Perform escort duties as needed and be willing to drive a minibus if required.
18. Provide training and mentorship to new and existing staff, assisting in their development and ensuring high
standards of care.
19. Act as the first point of contact for team members in the absence of a manager, addressing issues, supporting
staff, and escalating concerns when necessary.
20. Ensure flexibility and adaptability within the team, encouraging continuous learning and development to
meet evolving service needs.
21. To work effectively with management and staff.
22. Adhere to all Centre rules and policies at all times.
23. To perform any other duties as requested by management from time to time.
