Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of supplier invoice processing, payment, and expense management within the Purchase to Pay (PtP) function. The role provides technical expertise, process leadership, and analytical support to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple markets. Acts as a subject matter expert for PtP processes, supporting audit requirements and continuous improvement initiatives in line with Group Finance objectives.
Operational Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead the end-to-end supplier invoice and credit-note process in line with Fyffes policies, statutory, and VAT requirements.
Validate invoice data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper coding, approvals, and posting to the ERP system.
Oversee the employee Travel & Expense (T&E) process, reviewing submissions for accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement.
Assist with T&E Reporting and queries
Resolve customer queries in the areas of procurement, accounts payable and employee expense management inquiries.
Deliver SLA targets
Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect process and system changes
Effectively manage and prioritize workload efficiently and accurately while promoting a positive customer service culture.
Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and training to junior team members.
Support the PtP Team Leader in workload planning, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or Procure-to-Pay within a shared-service or multinational environment.
Competent in the use of Microsoft office software, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with SAP S4Hana or Procure to Pay/Treasury ERP software.
A team player with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently & with cross functional teams.
Highly motivated individual with strong attention to details

Business-level English language skills (speaking and writing) required; additional languages spoken required (German, Spanish, Dutch)
