Sheridans Cheesemongers is looking for a Warehouse Operative/Relief Delivery Driver..
Warehouse Operatives are responsible for ensuring that all food products - ambient and fresh - are received, stored, re-packed, and picked accurately for customer delivery, maintaining the highest quality standards.
The Relief Delivery Driver will deliver goods to customers and suppliers, maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness, and support warehouse operations when needed.
Warehouse Operative Responsibilities:

Daily Picking and Packing of orders to the highest of standards.

Palletising and wrapping of pallets, including ensuring they are lined up in the correct run in accordance with run sheet.

Maintain/care for cheese and other food products in both refrigerated and ambient environments.

Waste management, batch recording and date rotation etc.
- Stock control, ensure products are sold in optimum condition; stock rotation (FIFO) including management of weekly stock to push procedure.
- Report breakages, wastages, missing stock, any issues with products or otherwise to the Manager Must keep fork truck properly charged

Pick and pack for 3rd party courier and use of relevant system (UPS)

Responsible for daily maintenance of the area, housekeeping, removal and disposal of waste packaging in a carbon friendly manner.

Ensure all safe practices are followed and work is conducted with a safety-first approach.

Record all stock movements on Intact including Goods receipt/ location changes/scrap/credit requests. Ensure to check goods against paperwork received and recording on Intact.

Maintain food safety standards required in conjunction with company HACCP/ food safety policy and procedures. Record keeping of all cleaning and temperature sheets including deep cleans.

Participate in stocktaking of inventory. Including weekly spot checks as required.

Other ad hoc duties & responsibilities as directed by Team Leader, Manager or Head of Operations.

Deliver goods to customers and collect from suppliers.

Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness.

Ensure safe loading and secure transport of goods.

Follow road safety regulations and company policies.

Valid driving licence (for Relief Driver role).

Professional, courteous, and reliable attitude.

Ability to work independently and stay motivated.

Certified Forklift driver desirable but not essential.

1 years' experience in a similar role preferable.

Good teamwork skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure.
