The Connacht Hospitality Group are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of the finance function for our busiest business. This is a key role within the Group, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong, effective controls in a fast-paced environment.
KEY DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring delivery to strict deadlines
- Act as a key financial partner to General Managers, supporting effective financial management and the achievement of Group targets
- Contribute to overall business performance through value-added insights beyond the core accounting function
- Lead the annual budgeting process in line with Group targets and strategic objectives
- Prepare and maintain weekly cashflow forecasts to support operational planning
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
- Manage creditor reconciliations and ensure the effective administration of the purchasing system
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls across the businesses, identifying risks and implementing improvements where required
- Prepare and deliver financial reports to support management decision-making and performance analysis
- Attend and actively contribute to weekly finance team meetings
- Analyse costs and identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings
- Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as required
- Ensure full compliance with Revenue requirements and statutory obligations
- Manage ad hoc financial queries and projects as they arise

Professional Requirements & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience within a busy commercial finance function or practice
- Demonstrated experience operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Previous experience within the hospitality sector is a strong advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
