About McBride Property Ireland
McBride Property Ireland provides fully managed serviced accommodation for businesses requiring short and mid-term accommodation for teams working across Ireland.
The majority of our clients are overseas companies with employees and contractors travelling to Ireland for temporary projects. We provide fully furnished accommodation with utilities, Wi-Fi, regular cleaning and bi-weekly linen changes included – providing a home-from-home experience throughout their stay.
Our clients operate across sectors including construction, engineering, data centres, pharmaceutical and renewable energy, with requirements ranging from individual properties to larger multi-property projects.
As we continue to grow, our focus is on developing more direct corporate relationships, increasing repeat business and securing larger accommodation requirements across Ireland.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Commercial Business Manager to take a senior position within our business.
You'll work closely with the Managing Director and help lead a small team of approximately six people, working alongside our Operations Coordinator and existing sales team and our contractors.
This role has three main areas of focus:
50% – Sales & Commercial Growth
Developing new B2B business, meeting prospective clients, visiting project sites, developing key accounts, progressing larger opportunities and working with our existing sales team to increase occupancy and revenue.
30% – Team Leadership
Leading weekly meetings, setting priorities and KPIs, managing performance and ensuring the team is working towards the same goals.
20% – Financial & Business Performance
Reviewing P&L, revenue, margins, occupancy, costs and debtors and using this information to make commercially sound decisions.
Strong B2B sales and business development experience is essential. This is not a traditional hospitality management role.

- Meet prospective clients and key decision-makers.
- Visit construction/project sites and build relationships on the ground.
- Develop opportunities across construction, engineering, data centres, pharmaceutical, renewable energy and other project-based sectors.
- Work closely with our existing sales team on inbound and outbound opportunities.

- Review quotations and negotiate rates and commercial terms.
- Identify opportunities for repeat and long-term business.

- Monitor occupancy, property performance and margins.
- Review significant pricing and commercial opportunities.
- Monitor costs, cash flow and outstanding debtors.

- Support and develop our small team.
- Hold regular one-to-ones.
- Manage performance and accountability.
- Make day-to-day management decisions and deal with escalated business issues.

- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
- Experience developing corporate client relationships.
- Confident communicator and negotiator.
- Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership.
- Proactive and solutions-focused.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willing to travel to Cork, Limerick, other sites
Experience within construction, engineering, recruitment, property, facilities management, renewable energy or another B2B service industry would be advantageous.
About You
You're someone who naturally asks:
Where can we grow? What can we improve? What opportunities are we missing?
If properties are becoming empty, you want a plan to fill them. If an opportunity isn't progressing, you'll pick up the phone. If costs are increasing, you'll want to understand why.
Most importantly, you're solutions-focused. When a challenge comes up, your first thought isn't “we can't do that” it's “there must be a way; let's work out how.”
Growth & Opportunity
We're an ambitious business with a genuine growth mindset. We already operate across Ireland, but in time there could be opportunities to enter new markets and potentially expand into other parts of Europe.
We want someone who can help shape where the business goes next. As the business grows, we believe your responsibility and earning potential should grow with it.
