Our client, a leading international retailer renowned for delivering exceptional quality across Food, Fashion and Home, is seeking an ambitious Department Manager to join one of their high profile stores in Dundrum South Dublin.

As Department Manager, you will take ownership of a key trading area within the store, leading your team to achieve operational excellence while delivering outstanding results across sales, service, and people development.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, creating a positive and engaging working environment.

Drive sales, productivity, and profitability within your department through strong commercial decision-making.

Deliver exceptional customer service standards, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience at all times.

Analyse trading reports and performance data to identify opportunities and implement action plans.

Ensure excellent standards of merchandising, stock availability, and visual presentation.

Support the implementation of seasonal events, promotional campaigns, and business initiatives.

Manage performance through regular coaching, feedback, and succession planning.

Work closely with senior management to deliver operational excellence across the store.

Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Ensure all company policies, procedures, and compliance standards are maintained.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years' management experience within a high-volume retail environment.

Background in grocery, fashion, non-food, or mixed retail operations.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams.

Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering sales and KPI targets.

Customer-focused with a passion for creating exceptional shopping experiences.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organisational and planning abilities with a hands-on leadership style.
