About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Painter & Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys transforming and maintaining buildings and grounds to an exceptionally high standard. The successful candidate will take genuine pride in the appearance of the estate and will become a key member of our maintenance team.
The role combines professional painting and decorating with grounds maintenance, external cleaning, property improvements and general estate upkeep.

Health & Safety & Site Compliance
Experience in workplace health and safety would be a significant advantage.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Responsibilities may include:
- Helping ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are understood and followed by staff and contractors.
- Acting as the day-to-day health and safety lead for maintenance and grounds activities.
- Carrying out regular inspections of buildings, grounds, workshops, equipment and work areas.
- Identifying hazards before they become incidents and taking proactive steps to resolve them.
- Ensuring maintenance issues identified during inspections, audits or risk assessments are completed promptly.
- Following up on health and safety audit reports and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitoring safe use of machinery, power tools, ladders and work equipment.
- Ensuring PPE is available, maintained and worn correctly.
- Assisting with contractor inductions and monitoring contractor safety while on site.
- Reporting accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses.
- Promoting excellent housekeeping standards across the estate.
- Helping maintain a strong health and safety culture through leading by example.
Essential Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Significant painting and decorating experience
- Excellent preparation and finishing skills
- Gardening and grounds maintenance experience
- Experience operating power tools and machinery
- Power washing experience
- A full, clean driving licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organisational skills
- A proactive approach to maintenance
- Pride in producing high-quality work

They will also contribute to creating a safe working environment by proactively identifying hazards, supporting health and safety compliance, and ensuring the estate remains well presented and properly maintained throughout the year.
