Compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to provide meaningful activities and support the wellbeing of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities for older persons, including residents living with dementia.
- Promote social interaction, independence, dignity, and quality of life.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Support residents during activities and assist with mobility, nutrition, hydration, and personal care when required.
- Follow Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) policies, including hand hygiene and equipment cleaning.
- Work closely with nurses, healthcare assistants, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate activity records and resident participation documentation.
Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent).
- Experience working with older persons and/or dementia care preferred.
- Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, caring, and team-oriented approach.
- Caring, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work weekends as required.

Pay: From €14.15 per hour- Competitive, depending on experience.

- Experience working with older persons, including residents living with dementia, in a nursing home setting.
- Previous experience providing person-centred care and supporting meaningful activities for elderly residents.
- Experience in dementia care, resident monitoring, infection prevention and control (IPC), and healthcare assistant duties.
- Proven ability to support residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing while maintaining dignity and independence.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and activities for older persons.
