About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to be embedded full-time with our client's team at their data centre campus in West Dublin, acting as their primary point of contact for the delivery of multiple, concurrent minor works and small capital projects across the site. This is an overarching, client-facing role based fully on-site: you will hold single-point accountability to the client for the successful and compliant delivery of every project on campus, from scope and budget through to commercial close-out.
You will be based full-time, on-site, with the client's team in West Dublin, and will be responsible for managing all contractors and vendors engaged on campus works – driving programme, quality, safety and commercial performance across a varied portfolio of projects. This role combines strong project management fundamentals with genuine commercial management capability; you will be as comfortable negotiating a variation or reviewing a contractor's account as you are chairing a progress meeting.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the client's day-to-day project delivery lead on campus, holding single-point accountability for all minor and small works projects from initiation through to close-out.
- Manage a live portfolio of concurrent projects across the campus, prioritising resources, sequencing works and coordinating interfaces between them.
- Own the commercial management of each project – budgets, cost tracking, purchase orders, variations, change control and final account agreement.
- Procure, appoint and manage all contractors and vendors delivering works on campus, including tendering, contract administration and performance management.
- Act as the principal interface between the client and contractors, vendors, designers and specialist subcontractors for all campus project activity.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets and risk registers; report progress, cost and risk to the client on a regular basis.
- Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with the client's site rules, permit-to-work systems, HSE requirements and quality standards.
- Chair site progress meetings, coordination meetings and close-out reviews with contractors, vendors and client stakeholders.
- Review and approve contractor RAMS, method statements and commissioning documentation prior to works commencing.
- Manage snagging, punch lists and handover documentation to ensure clean, compliant close-out of each project.
- Support the client with early-stage scoping, budgeting and planning of new minor works as they are identified.
Essential experience and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years' project management experience delivering minor works, fit-out or small capital projects, ideally within a data centre, critical infrastructure or campus environment.
- Strong commercial management background – budgeting, cost control, variations, contract administration and final accounts.
- Proven track record managing multiple contractors and vendors concurrently, including procurement and performance management.
- Confident, credible client-facing communicator, comfortable operating as the client's representative on site.
- Strong working knowledge of HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems and quality assurance processes on live operational sites.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied, fast-moving project portfolio and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and standard project reporting tools.
Desirable
- Experience working within a live, operational data centre or other mission-critical environment.
- Familiarity with client standards and frameworks such as Uptime Institute or major hyperscale operator requirements.
- PMP, PRINCE2, APM PMQ or equivalent project management certification.
- Relevant professional registration (e.g. Chartered status) with a recognised engineering or construction body.
What we offer
- PAYE permanent role with full benefits.
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
- Exposure to a high-profile, mission-critical client campus and a varied, ongoing portfolio of projects.
- A client-facing role with genuine ownership and influence over project outcomes.
- Clear progression route into senior project or programme management.
How to apply
Please submit your CV and a short covering note outlining (1) your experience managing multiple concurrent projects and contractors on a single site or campus, and (2) an example of commercial management you have led (e.g. a variation, claim or contract negotiation). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview with our operations leadership.
