Description
We currently have a Full Time vacancy as a goods inward operative, on site Monday-Friday. The right candidate will have experience managing orders, receiving goods and must have a forklift license.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receiving goods from suppliers. Ensure all deliveries are checked in accurately and that no sub-standard or incorrect goods are received into the warehouse
- Ensuring deliveries are completed to satisfaction.
- Checking off goods and updating stock system on company database.
- Liaising with suppliers, accounts and Yards Team
- Responsible for operating and maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse while keeping a safe and secure working environment
- To maintain the delivery and yard areas to a high standard
- Organise and pack away goods and general warehouse activity
- Assist in stock checks
- Provide the highest level of standards of customer service and act in a professional manner at all times.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience of driving forklifts is essential (Forklift license preferable)
- Experience in a Builders Providers preferable but not essential
- Manual Handling certified preferable
- Yard experience preferable but not essential
- Must be a strong communicator, and have excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Numerical & Logical Ability– Must have the ability to work with numbers in a competent and confident way.
- Must be computer literate
- Adaptable to Change & Flexibility– Must have a flexible approach to work, are open and accepting of necessary change and innovation within the company.
- Attention to Detail / Organised- You can prioritise and organise your own work, complete all necessary tasks and fulfil all commitments on time and without supervision.
