ORANMORE LODGE HOTEL GALWAY operated under a management contract on behalf of the hotel owners is seeking a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of this unique 4* hotel comprising of 70 bedrooms, conference and banqueting for 200, health and leisure facilities - 600, food and beverage in Barney’s bar, Sun Lounge, Butlers Bistro and Hunt Room private dining. The hotel has developed around the original 1870s hunting lodge which still remains today the heart of the hotel. It boasts many of its original
features and impressive architectural charm, more importantly it still maintains the ethos of Irish hospitality and welcome enjoyed over 150 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES in conjunction with the hotel’s management company:
- provide strategic leadership and direction to all hotel departments
- ensure the delivery of exceptional standards of guest experience and services
- drive revenue growth and profitability through effective budgeting and financial management
- identify and implement opportunities to increase profitability and operational efficiencies
- monitor department costs / labour expenditure and maintain strict budgetary control in line
- ensure full compliance with Health & Safety / Food and Firesafety / employment legislation
- THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- · must have a minimum of 5 years hotel experience at General Manager / Operations Manager in a 4/5* hotel with a similar operation
- · a strong commercial and financial acumen with managing budgets and labour costs
- · be a leader in coaching a dedicated hotel management team
- · applicants applying for this job must have permission / right to live and work without restriction in Ireland
