Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Cork, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Agnostic Division as an Electrical Engineer, supporting the delivery of our Critical Infrastructure projects across Europe.
Your day will include:
- Support the design and delivery of electrical systems for large-scale data centre and critical infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
- Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to develop practical, buildable engineering solutions.
- Provide technical input across the project lifecycle, with a strong focus on pre-construction, design development and technical coordination.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Support technical queries, design reviews, procurement and project planning as required.
- Assist with the development of standardised and innovative engineering solutions across multiple projects.
About You
- Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with 2–5 years' post-graduate experience, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure, industrial, pharmaceutical or a similar engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, engineering principles and project delivery.
- Experience working within a pre-construction, design or project engineering environment would be highly advantageous.
- Comfortable working as part of multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Strong technical, problem-solving and communication skills with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
- A motivated engineer looking to develop their career through exposure to large-scale, technically challenging projects.
