We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and compliance across our fresh produce facility, including multiple warehouse floors, production areas, and storage operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Deliver employee inductions, training, and toolbox talks.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all departments.
- Maintain health and safety records and compliance documentation.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire safety, and contractor management.
Requirements
- Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience in warehousing, food production, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
