Position Description:
Cloud Picker is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a hands-on production role at our Dublin roastery. As a key player in our daily operations, you'll support the smooth flow of production - from packing and dispatching coffee to maintaining our workspace and engaging in quality control. This role is ideal for someone self-driven, curious, and eager to contribute to the ongoing development of our craft. As a self standing position we will rely on your self motivation and strive to succeed. Your position is crucial in the smooth running of our business and further development of the Cloud Picker Brand.
Job SpecificationsSalary: €33,000 - €35,000 per annum
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Reports to: Roastery Manager
Responsibilities:
General:
- Grinding and packing of roasted coffee in an organized manner
- Careful and precise application of bag labels and roast dates
- Dispatching orders
- Cleaning and maintenance of the roastery equipment and work space
- General assistance around the roastery including the delivery of green coffee
- Making hot drinks for takeaway customers.
- Looking after retail orders for takeaway customers.
- Maintaining the highest quality in served beverages.
- Dialling in grinders and ensuring recipes are correct during the day.
- General upkeep of the takeaway dispensary and machine and grinder cleaning.
- Ordering and keeping an eye on dispensary stock.
- Ensuring good presentation of customer-facing work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Production Environment:
- Maintain the upkeep of the production environment.
- Cleaning of roasting accessories (bins, white bins, etc.) and alert other production staff of these tasks when needed
- Assist in the cleaning of the production warehouse and lab area.
- Participate in team and staff meetings.
- Organise packing lists and stock when needed.
- Providing help to less experienced team members where needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in the bagging of roasted whole bean and ground coffee
- Assist in the grinding of roasted whole bean coffee
Additional Responsibilities Working at events; Using work vehicles if qualified.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Competency in use of email, spreadsheets and other computer applications
- Reliable and self-sufficient
- Good problem solver
- Attention to detail
- Good Knowledge of Speciality Coffee
- Confidence to speak with customers about coffee
- At least one year’s experience working as a barista in a speciality coffee environment.
- Confidence in dialling in grinders to speciality standards.
- Good latte art.
- Friendly and inviting to customers.
- Good working within a team.
