Located in the heart of Letterkenny, Bloem is a busy, community-focused coffee shop known for our great coffee, fresh food, and welcoming atmosphere. We are currently looking for an energetic and reliable Barista to join our friendly team. As our Barista, you will be the heart of our front-of-house experience and coffee program. You will craft exceptional espresso-based beverages, provide outstanding customer service, and ensure the coffee bar runs smoothly and stays spotless.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dialing in espresso grinders and crafting high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to exact standards.
- Delivering warm, friendly customer service, taking orders, and managing till operations efficiently.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards across the coffee station and seating area, including dishwashing and deep cleaning equipment.
- Steaming milk to proper textures and producing consistent latte art.
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Monitoring coffee, milk, and beverage stock levels and helping put away deliveries.
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, synchronized service during busy breakfast and lunch rushes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a barista in a fast-paced café or specialty coffee environment.
- Sound knowledge of coffee extraction, dial-in processes, milk steaming, and basic latte art.
- Understanding of hygiene standards and HACCP principles (certificate is a plus!).
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high quality under pressure during peak rushes.
- A positive, team-player attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for customer service.
- Reliability and punctuality.

What We Offer:
- Working Hours: No split shifts! Daytime hours only, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Weekends required on a rotating basis.
- Pay: €15–€18 to start, with clear opportunities for pay increases as you grow into the role.
