About the Role
BuildTech is now looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our construction team.
The successful candidate will work on residential renovation and extension projects under the direction of a Site Manager. This is a hands-on role suited to a reliable and experienced carpenter who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working across different stages of a residential construction project.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include:
- First fix and second fix carpentry
- Roofing and structural carpentry works where required
- Stud partitions, floors, doors, skirting and architrave
- Assisting with site setup, materials and deliveries
- Working with other trades and subcontractors on site
- Keeping the site clean, organised and safe
- Completing works to a high standard and in line with BuildTech procedures
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction
- Strong carpentry background
- Good all-round construction knowledge
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Experience using power tools safely and confidently
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Full clean driver’s licence
Required Certification
- Safe Pass
- Manual Handling
- Abrasive Wheels Certificate preferred
