Salary Band: €20.00 - €24.00 per hour
Reports to: Transport Manager

Summary of Role
To undertake all maintenance, preventative maintenance and breakdown work as requested by your Supervisor, to minimise downtime and ensure equipment and machinery is operational.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for maintenance and repairs of all HGV fleet and trailers
· Carry out repairs on engines, gear box’s, hydraulics and braking systems
· To attend breakdowns as required
· Complete weekly and monthly check sheets
· To carry out regular preventative maintenance
· To carry out and maintain servicing schedule
· To undertake all work in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Statement, Policies and Procedures.
· To report any non-conformances, machine/equipment breakages and health and safety issues to your supervisor.
· To report any accidents/incidents immediately to your supervisor.
· To report any machine or equipment issues to your supervisor immediately.
· To carry out all work to the required level of quality.
· To meet the daily work targets as set by your supervisor.
· To ensure minimum Product, Material & Energy waste by following the company’s policies and procedures with regards to producing product and operating machinery and equipment.
· To operate machinery and use equipment and vehicles in a safe and respectable manner.
· To follow Company guidelines to ensure all environmental standards are met.
· To leave your work area clean and tidy at the end of each working day.
· To manage your time-keeping and attendance in accordance with the Company’s policies.
· Maintain high level of communication within department and across factory floor.
· Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure tasks are completed safely, consistently, and to the required quality standards.
· Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
· Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on site.
· Ensure all work meets established Quality standards, reporting any defects, issues, or non-conformances immediately.
· Support the company’s Environmental policies by minimising environmental impact and following correct waste disposal procedures.
· Work in accordance with relevant ISO standards and accreditations (e.g., quality, safety, and environmental management systems), to ensure standards are maintained.
· Maintain high levels of housekeeping to ensure work areas remain clean, organised, and hazzard-free.
· Identify opportunities for reducing waste, improving efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
· Abide by company policies and procedures as outlined in Company Handbook.
· Undertake any other tasks requested by manager to successfully carry out this function within the Company.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience
· Mechanics qualification
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
· Ability to follow instructions and schedules
· Ability to manage efficiently and work under own supervision.
· Enthusiastic and responsive approach.
· Full, clean driver’s licence.
· Manual Handling Certificate / Safe Pass.
· Valid Visa to work in the EU.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry needed.
· Comfort with working in tight spaces, high altitudes, or other challenging environments.
Working Conditions:
· Maintenance environment with exposure to weather, dust, and noise.
· Physical role requiring lifting, standing, and operating equipment for extended periods.
· Monday to Friday with occasional overtime or weekend work based on production needs.
