SPSV Driver Wanted – School Transport

We are looking for a reliable SPSV driver for school transport during the 2026/2027 school term, starting Tuesday, 25th August 2026.
This is a lovely steady role for someone who is retired, semi-retired, or simply has a bit of free time during the school week and would like regular work without taking on a full-time job.
You drive.
You look after the vehicle.
We cover the fuel, insurance and vehicle costs.
Nice and straightforward.
The role would suit someone dependable, friendly and good with people. The kids are great craic, so a bit of patience, common sense and a sense of humour will go a long way.
What the role involves:
Morning and afternoon school runs
Driving safely and professionally
Looking after the vehicle and keeping it clean/presentable
Being punctual and reliable
Being polite and friendly with parents, guardians and school transport contacts
Requirements:
Valid SPSV licence
Full clean driving licence
Garda vetting required
Fluent English
Reliable, friendly and professional
Good timekeeping
Common sense, patience and a good sense of humour
Pay:
€400 per full school week operated / €80 per school day operated where the school week is shorter.

Working arrangement:
This is a part-time self-employed contractor opportunity. The successful driver will not be an employee of Emerald Isle Chauffeurs and will be responsible for their own tax affairs, PRSI/USC obligations and any other self-employed contractor requirements.
