The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and effective operation of the business.
This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, financial accounts support, facilities coordination, compliance, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement.
The role requires a highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused individual who can manage competing priorities, take ownership of core business processes, and support the organisation as it grows.
Strong communication skills, sound judgement, commercial awareness, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Business Administration:
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, office administration, facilities, and operational support
- Coordinate and manage internal operational projects as required
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, business databases, and operational documentation
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal processes, policies, and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, systems, and operational performance
Financial & Supplier Management:
- Manage Accounts Receivable processes
- Coordinate supplier pricing and negotiations to ensure best-value outcomes
- Manage supplier renewals, contracts, and key timelines
- Support inventory management and control
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiencies
Governance, Compliance & Risk:
- Hold overall responsibility for Health & Safety coordination
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry, regulatory, and company requirements
- Maintain and update internal policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
- Support the identification and management of operational risks
- Ensure appropriate records and reporting are maintained
Stakeholder & Business Support:
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers
- Support tender preparations, submissions, and administration
- Assist leadership with resource planning, business operations, and strategic initiatives
- Provide operational reporting and insights to support management decision-making
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar operations, administration, office management, or business support role
- Demonstrated ability to manage responsibilities independently and use initiative
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety, compliance, and risk requirements
- Strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of supplier and financial processes
- High level of IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in process improvement and operational coordination would be an advantage
