Location: East Cork
Hours: 8.5-hour shifts (start between 7am-9am)
Days: Monday to Saturday (with a day off midweek)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join a busy factory environment. This is a practical role where you'll be out on the floor, keeping things running smoothly and stepping in quickly when things go wrong.
You'll be working closely with the production and maintenance teams to keep equipment running, minimise downtime, and make sure everything is safe and up to standard.

Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the site

Supporting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to keep things running efficiently

Troubleshooting faults and dealing with breakdowns

Helping with installs, upgrades, and improvements across the factory

Working alongside supervisors and managers to prioritise jobs

Making sure all work is completed safely and properly

Keeping maintenance records up to date

Spotting potential issues early and flagging them

Helping maintain the overall upkeep of the facility (services, equipment, etc.)

Hands-on experience in a factory or production environment is essential

Mechanical, electrical, and welding experience required

Formal trade qualifications are not essential, but definitely a plus

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work things out on the go

Someone who can work on their own initiative as well as part of a team

Strong awareness of health & safety

Reliable, practical, and willing to get stuck in

Basic computer skills are helpful but not required
