Dee Hub is a Community Hub which was established in 2017 to support the provision of a vibrant community resource facility in Ardee to meet current and emerging needs of the local community. The facility provides educational facilities primarily but is also a focal point for social and recreational activities. It operates on social enterprise principles accommodating the rental of its meeting and training rooms, hot desk facilities, and enables social partners and statutory agencies to operate outreach services from its main street location in Ardee.
Dee Hub also works closely with Mid Louth Youth Service and supports the delivery of youth services and activities for young people in the local community. Mid Louth Youth Service is funded through the Education and Training Boards (ETB) and provides opportunities, supports and programmes aimed at promoting the personal, social and educational development of young people.
Key Areas of Work:
· The Manager will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of the Dee Hub. An important aspect of the role is to develop the business, including improving facilities and identifying new opportunities for expansion by means of effective marketing and networking.
· Develop good relationships with groups, organisations and individuals locally.
· The Manager will ensure the Dee Hub is a vibrant, well managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of local communities and organisations.
· The Manager will be given a high degree of autonomy and will be self-motivated.
· Submit all relevant reports and information to the Charities Regulator and POBAL, including applications for funding.
· Provide progress reports including financial statements to the Board of Directors for their meetings.
· Work with the Board members and undertake tasks relating to the successful running of the Ardee & District Community Trust CLG

· The Manager will have a strong commitment to helping members of the Community get involved with the Dee Hub. The Manager will also need to be self-reliant, energetic and able to work on their own initiative and to prioritise activities.
· The continued success of the Dee Hub will depend heavily on the organisational skills of the Manager and their ability to communicate effectively with all members of the community and work alongside colleagues, partners and Trustees.
Skills and Abilities
· Have proven experience in the voluntary sector or community development.
· Experience managing operations, funding, and compliance under POBAL and the Charities Regulator.
· A professional attitude and approach to the Management of the Dee Hub.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Customer service skills.
· Be confident, self – motivated, innovative and able to work under pressure.
· Have good team leadership skills with the ability to develop and support all members of the team.
· Be able to prioritise work and demands.
· Be able to work collaboratively.
· Have understanding of financial controls, budgets and agreed targets.
· Be willing to work flexible hours when required.
Pay: €37,900.00 per year
