We are currently recruiting a Junior Production Engineer to provide daily technical support to the manufacturing assembly line along with technical leadership and hands-on engineering support to production operations. Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment while ensuring compliance with quality systems, change control, and health & safety standards. Develop standard work instructions and introduce new products to the manufacturing floor. Develop innovative and automated solutions to enable operational efficiency. The successful person should have good technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Takes a hands-on approach to production support, including trouble shooting, data collection and analysis, working effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Support continuous improvement activities for any new or existing equipment and manufacturing processes under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Product management, Quality, and Procurement, to support product and supply base improvement.
- Develops engineering specifications, drawings and test plans for new production equipment.
- Leads or supports technical projects relating to continuous improvement activities and new equipment to deliver robust solutions on time and on budget, aligning with lean, Six Sigma, and Problem-Solving principles.
- Ensures quality assurance and change control documentation is completed, as required.
- Ensures all engineering activity is carried out in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and always encourages safe working.
- Assists in the preparation of documentation and training of production and maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronic or Production Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 2-3 years post graduate experience in a manufacturing operation.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data for decision-making.
- Proficient in SQL querying, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps for data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Hands-on experience with FDM 3D printing technologies and applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and presentations.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to prioritise workload in an agile environment.
- Team player capable of building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- The ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously meeting agreed targets.
Desirable:
- Experience of welding and/or mechanical assembly operations.
- Experience operating in a Lean Manufacturing / Operational Excellence environment.
- Project Management or other post graduate training.

Salary range:
- Salary will be dependent on experience
- Range for the role €38k - €45k
Pay: €38,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
