The Role
ROQ Commercial Contracting is recruiting an experienced Articulated Dump Truck Driver to join our expanding earthworks team.
The successful candidate will initially be based on a new civil engineering project in Kells, Co. Meath, with continued work available across ROQ projects throughout the Midlands following completion of the initial contract.
This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced operator looking for long-term work with a growing civil engineering contractor.
Main Responsibilities
- Operating articulated dump trucks safely and efficiently
- Hauling soil, stone and fill materials around site
- Working closely with excavator and dozer operators as part of the earthworks operation
- Tipping and placing materials safely in designated areas
- Following designated site haul routes and traffic management arrangements
- Maintaining awareness of changing ground conditions, personnel and other moving plant
- Carrying out daily machine inspections and completing check sheets
- Reporting defects or maintenance requirements promptly
- Keeping the machine clean and in good working condition
- Following all site health & safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating articulated dump trucks on civil engineering or construction projects
- Previous earthworks experience strongly preferred
- Good understanding of working safely around excavators, dozers and other heavy plant
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy earthworks operation
- Willingness to work across projects throughout the Midlands
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Good attitude towards machinery and equipment
Essential
- Valid CSCS Articulated Dump Truck ticket
- Safe Pass
- Manual Handling
- Relevant site experience
Advantageous
- Experience on large-scale earthworks projects
- Additional plant tickets
- Full driving licence
