The Galway Bay Hotel is seeking an experienced Night Manager to join our management team.
This is a fulltime position working five nights per week. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel during the night shift (11:00pm-7:30am) and is expected to fully own the role, ensuring all tasks, checks, and nightly walks are completed to standard.
Main Duties

Carry out the Night Audit using the Micros/Opera system, including cash balancing, printing revenue reports, and posting room charges.

Ensure all key hotel areas are manned and operating smoothly throughout the night.

Supervise all departments during shift hours.

Oversee Night Porters and support them in their nightly duties.

Handle guest queries, complaints, and issues professionally and efficiently.

Provide checkin and checkout services at Reception when required.

Conduct regular security and fire checks and carry out fire and accident drills.

Attend management meetings approximately once per month.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards for yourself, colleagues, and guests.
Requirements

Fluent spoken and written English

Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the night operation

Previous experience in a similar Night Manager role is desirable
