The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of staff, customers, and property within a high-profile retail environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Retail Security Officer
- Provide a proactive, visible security presence to deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and health & safety incidents.
- Monitor and patrol retail premises, responding to incidents as required
- Provide the staff and management with a sense of safety in their workplace
- Report incidents clearly and accurately using company procedures
- Have a full understanding of Retail Security procedures
- Liaise effectively with store management
- Control your emotions and act professionally under pressure
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Retail Security Officer in Ireland
- Valid 02.C Security guard (Guarding) PSA (Private Security Authority) Licence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to remain observant, alert, and proactive
- Full flexibility, including availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
- Strong professional appearance and attitude
- Full understanding of Standard Operating Procedures
Desirable
- Manual handling or first aid certification
- Experience dealing with conflict resolution
- Familiarity with retail reporting systems and bodycam operation
