Key Responsibilities:
Bring a great customer experience to life by delivering and assembling quality furniture and bedding for homes and businesses. This is a hands-on, customer-facing, last‑mile delivery role with opportunities to grow your skills on the road and on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and deliver furniture and mattresses to customers (home and commercial) using a company van (B licence); perform pre‑trip vehicle checks and complete proof‑of‑delivery (POD).
- Assemble and install furniture on site (beds, sofas, wardrobes, office furniture), ensuring white‑glove delivery standards and zero damage.
- Meet on‑time delivery targets with efficient route planning and use of GPS/smartphone delivery apps; communicate ETAs and updates to dispatch.
- Provide professional customer service, including room-of-choice placement, debris removal, and clear product guidance.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep, follow health and safety and manual handling best practices, and report issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the warehouse/dispatch team on load checks, returns, and exceptions.
Requirements
- Full B Driving Licence (required); confident van driver.
- Previous experience in furniture delivery (essential); comfort with heavy lifting and team lifts.
- Furniture assembly skills (advantageous); ability to read assembly instructions/tools safely.
- Manual Handling Certificate (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and complete POD/delivery notes accurately.
- Fluent English communication and a professional appearance (uniforms provided).
- Punctual, reliable, and courteous; positive, customer-first attitude.
Schedule
- Day shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Weekend availability; some holiday work may be required.
