Job Summary:
Treacys West County Hotel is one of the largest and most established hotels in the West of Ireland, welcoming leisure guests, business travellers, conferences and events throughout the year.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially focused Sales & Marketing Manager to lead and develop our Sales & Marketing activities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining sales, marketing, events, social media and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
As Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive room, conference, event and leisure business.
- Planning and managing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Creating and scheduling engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms.
- Managing hotel website content, online listings and promotional platforms.
- Managing sales enquiries, preparing proposals and following up on new business opportunities.
- Promoting the hotel’s conferences, events, packages and special offers.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, event organisers and other key partners.
- Identifying new sales opportunities and helping to grow the hotel’s business.
- Coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure the successful delivery of sales, marketing and promotional activities.
- Managing marketing databases and keeping records up to date.
- Supporting the development of the hotel’s overall brand and online presence.
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the Sales & Marketing Department.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who has:
- A qualification in Business, Marketing, PR, Sales or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, events or a customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident and professional approach when dealing with clients and businesses.
- Experience using social media platforms and digital marketing tools such as Canva.
- A positive, proactive and self-motivated approach.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- An outgoing and personable personality.
- Fluent and confident English, both written and spoken.
- Must legally be permitted to work in Ireland.
- Must live locally or be willing to relocate.
Desirable:
- Experience within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Experience in conference, events or group sales.
- Experience managing social media and digital marketing campaigns.
- Existing local business contacts would be an advantage.
- Full clean driving licence.
