Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am to 6pm

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, friendly Retail Sales Associate to join our team, and work in our new store at 24 Richmond Street South, Portobello, Dublin 2. The ideal candidate must have experience in retail with a demonstrated ability to drive sales while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Retail Sales Associate will receive training with the expectation that they will become experts on electric scooters and the industry quickly, and continue to develop their expertise through on the job learning and with regular training.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:
- Greet customers as they enter the shop, providing a warm welcome.
- Gain an understanding of customers' needs and preferences by engaging in friendly conversations.
- Sell the best-fit product to customers along with any upsells, liaising regularly with senior management to ensure that sales targets are achieved and that in store selling is carried out in line with our sales strategy, which may change on an ongoing basis.
- Efficiently and professionally process orders through our point-of-sale system in store.
- Responsible for customer experience and the delivery of our 5 star after sales service via email, in person and over the phone.
Shop Management
- Open and close shop.
- Regularly clean and tidy the store throughout the day, ensuring that all displays are attractive and safely arranged and that all product literature is kept up to date.
- Set up electric scooters for display and provide an on demand assembly service for customers in store.
- Close the till daily and report on cash balances.
- Take in electric scooters for repair using our repair software.
- Monitor inventory levels in store and liaise with our logistics department to ensure that all items are held in sufficient quantities in store with no shortages.
Communication:
- Answer phone calls courteously and direct the caller to the appropriate department or deal with the query directly
- Liaise with other team members to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer concerns or suggestions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a shop/retail management role.
- Sees solutions and not problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the scooter or automotive industry is an advantage.
- Must have a warm and welcoming disposition, with the ability to greet customers politely and maintain a friendly and approachable demeanour. Friendliness and helpfulness are the most important attributes we are looking for.
- Must maintain a professional appearance, adhering to dress code guidelines, wearing LOCO branded apparel and presenting oneself in a manner consistent with the LOCO Scooters brand.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and complete tasks in a time-efficient manner.
