Laundry Assistant
The Arklow Bay Hotel is a well-established and highly regarded hotel located in the picturesque seaside town of Arklow, Co. Wicklow. With 91 beautifully appointed guest bedrooms, many offering stunning bay views, extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities for up to 450 guests, excellent dining options in The Pottery Restaurant and Ferrybank Lounge, and the Bay Health & Leisure Club, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.
We are currently seeking friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Laundry Assistants to join our housekeeping team. This role offers variable hours and would suit individuals who take pride in their work, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working as part of a team.
Please note: This position requires availability to work midweek from September onwards. As a result, this role would not be suitable for individuals currently attending school or college, due to the weekday availability required.
The Role
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel laundry, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of all hotel linen, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and pressing hotel laundry.
- Ensuring all linen, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items are presented to a high standard.
- Distributing clean laundry to the relevant hotel departments.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe laundry environment.
- Working closely with the housekeeping team to ensure adequate linen supplies are available when required.
- Following all hotel procedures relating to cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety.
- Taking pride in maintaining consistently high standards of work.
