Position Overview: The Childcare Educator is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. The educator will develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities, promote social, emotional, and cognitive development, and ensure each child's well-being. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for working with children, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and supervise daily educational and recreational activities that support the development of children.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages learning and creativity.
- Monitor children’s progress, identifying their needs, and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Provide positive guidance and discipline while promoting social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by adhering to relevant policies and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child’s development, activities, and any concerns.
- Maintain clean and organized classrooms and outdoor spaces, following sanitation and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other staff to plan Activities, and special activities.
- Attend regular staff meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on early childhood education practices.
Qualifications:
- FETAC level 5 or 6 or is in Early childhood Education or degree in a related field.
- Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and early learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle stressful situations with patience and care.
