Oldcastle Laboratories Ltd is looking for a candidate to join our expanding team as an Office Receptionist.
The role requires the candidate to be responsible for receiving, allocating and checking in samples such as water, soil, milk, blood, faeces and more. They will be responsible for composing relevant paperwork for the laboratories. They will also have a face to face role dealing with customers throughout the day in person as well as on the phone.
The successful candidate will play a critical role as part of a successful team that is proud of the work they do and motivated by the common purpose in help laboratory staff quickly diagnose results and report to the customer as quickly as possible.
There are policies and procedures in place to ensure the candidate is inducted into the quality management system that ensures the integrity of the business. Full training will be provided.
The role requires a very responsible person who has an excellent attention to detail.

Note, this is a laboratory, so there is potential exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases and hazardous chemicals. All necessary precautions are in place to ensure staff safety at all times.
Essential Requirements:
1. Proven data administration work experience / qualification
2. Attention to detail
3. Experience with MS Office - Particularly Excel and Access
4. Familiarity with administrative duties
5. Organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
6. Typing speed and accuracy
7. Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation
8. Excellent communication and co-ordination skills
9. Sage 50 Accounts or alternative accounts experience very desirable
10. A high standard phone etiquette
11. Previous experience in a similar role favorable.
