Job Summary:
Join our team at Aramex Ireland Limited as a Freight Operations Executive on our Air and Sea Freight Team located in our Cork Depot. This is an exciting and varied role working as part of a hardworking and collaborate team. The candidate must have a strong attention to detail and be confident and assertive in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
The team member will play a central role in the management of import/export shipments by Seafreight. The team member will be part of a core group responsible for overall service levels, compliance, and profitable movement of customer import shipments.
Import Duties will include:
· Oversee import FCL / LCL consignments due into Ireland.
· Create all shipments on Cargowise system upon receipt of pre-alert docs.
· Co-ordinate documents and handover to internal customs brokerage team for import clearance entry to allow calculation of import taxes.
· Send custom entry to the client to ensure payment is received in advance of cargo arrival for any duty / VAT costs applicable.
· Check bill of lading status original/express, check Incoterms for handling process.
· Book haulier to collect & deliver shipment to final receiver.
· Finalise invoicing and costs with the billing team.
· Solve accounts queries in a timely manner by email or phone, fast turnaround is required.
· Address any customer queries / communications within a good time frame.
Export Duties will include:
· Receive bookings from clients.
· Check rates/costs at time of booking receipt to ensure accuracy at the time of booking.
· Organise transport on collection of all sea freight shipments as required.
· Create booking and convert to shipment on Aramex system for each export LCL/FCL consignments.
· Send booking confirmation to customer to confirm all ETD / ETA details on the booking.
· Arrange customs export entry through internal brokerage team.
· Issue MBL / HBL for sea shipments and confirm SOB with ocean carrier.
· Arrange to scan documents and pre-alert to our partners/agents on export shipment departures from Ireland.
· Finalise invoicing and costs with the billing team.

· Address any customer queries / communications within a good time frame.
Role Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sea freight and imports / exports.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
· Experience delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
· Experience in Customs Clearance is desirable.
· Driven to achieve targets and objectives.
· Good interpersonal skills yet can also work unsupervised and to strict deadlines.
· Accuracy and a high attention to detail.
