ABOUT US
Busker Brownes Bar & Kirbys Restaurant sits in the heart of Galway City's Latin Quarter, on Cross Street Upper. Spread across several distinctive bars and spaces, including the Slatehouse, the Hall and Upstairs at Kirby's, we are a busy, lively venue known for great food, live music and a proper Galway welcome that runs late into the night. We are a close-knit team that takes real pride in looking after our guests and in the atmosphere we create together.
THE ROLE
We are looking for experienced Bar Staff who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be at the centre of the action, serving drinks to a consistently high standard, looking after guests across our bars and helping to keep the energy and atmosphere that Busker Brownes is known for.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve drinks promptly and to a high standard during busy, high-volume service
- Prepare cocktails, pour pints and serve wine with care and consistency
- Provide warm, attentive service and create a great experience for every guest
- Operate the till accurately and handle cash and card payments responsibly
- Keep the bar clean, stocked and well organised throughout the shift
- Adhere to all licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol requirements
- Support and work closely with the wider bar and floor team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 2–3 years' bar experience, ideally in a busy, late-night venue
- Solid cocktail, beer and wine knowledge
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Well organised, punctual and a strong team player
- A friendly, outgoing manner and genuine pride in great service
- Good command of English
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late shifts
Pay: €13.50-€21.01 per hour
