With 114 beautifully designed bedrooms, including 47 suites, a luxury spa, destination dining, extensive event facilities and spectacular Atlantic views, The Hawthorn will bring a new level of 5-star hospitality to the west coast.
We are now seeking an exceptional Clubhouse Manager to join our opening team and take a leading role in creating an outstanding Clubhouse experience for our hotel guests, members, golfers and event guests.
The Opportunity
As Clubhouse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, service standards, presentation, and guest experience of the Clubhouse, working closely with our Food & Beverage, Culinary, Golf, Events and wider hotel teams.
This is a highly visible leadership position for an experienced hospitality professional who understands that luxury is found in the detail.
You will lead from the front, ensuring the Clubhouse is beautifully presented, operationally efficient and consistently delivers the warm, polished, and personalised service expected of a 5-star destination.
You will also take a leading role in the planning and delivery of events within our Bay View Suite and Clubhouse, from initial planning through to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the Clubhouse, ensuring exceptional standards of service, presentation, and guest experience.
- Provide visible leadership across The 2 Iron, Bay View Suite, Changing Rooms and public areas ensuring every area is consistently prepared and presented to the highest standard.
- Lead and develop the Clubhouse team, including floor staff, bartenders, mixologists, F&B attendants, and event teams.
- Prepare and manage weekly rosters, ensuring effective staffing levels, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct daily briefings and ensure clear communication between the Clubhouse and wider hotel teams.
- Oversee the successful planning and delivery of events and functions within the Bay View Suite and Clubhouse.
- Coordinate event requirements including room set-up, staffing, catering, equipment, suppliers, and service delivery.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and F&B leadership team to ensure seamless food and beverage operations.
- Maintain strong stock, ordering, labour, and cost controls.
- Ensure all operations comply with company standards, health & safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Proactively manage guest feedback and service recovery.
- Support the training, onboarding and development of all Clubhouse colleagues.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve the guest experience and operational performance.
- Be hands-on and operationally present when required, particularly during busy service periods and major events.
We are looking for an experienced hospitality leader who combines professionalism, warmth, commercial awareness, and an exceptional eye for detail.
You will ideally have:
- Previous management or supervisory experience within a 5-star hotel, luxury resort, golf club, private members' club, or premium hospitality environment.
- Strong Food & Beverage operational experience.
- Proven experience leading and developing hospitality teams.
- Experience with events, banqueting, and functions.
- Strong knowledge of service standards and luxury guest expectations.
- Experience managing rotas, labour, stock and operational costs.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style.
- The confidence and presence to build strong relationships with guests, members and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and major events as required.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
