About Lazer Hits
Lazer Hits is a dedicated radio station broadcasting across Leinster on DAB+, as well as online, via Alexa, and through our dedicated app. We are a station built on a simple promise: "Never more than a minute away from the music."
We specialize in the greatest hits from the 60s to the early 90s. We don't do news, we don’t do ads, and we definitely don’t do jargon. Our philosophy is "Maximum music and no BS." As we expand our footprint in the Irish broadcasting landscape, we are looking for a Junior Accountant who shares our straightforward, high-energy approach to join our growing team.
The Role
This is a unique entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in the media industry. You won’t just be crunching numbers; you will be an integral part of a growing station’s support structure.
Working under the direct mentorship and guidance of our Senior Accountant, you will receive professional training and insight into the financial management of a digital, innovating and progressive radio station.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Bookkeeping: Assisting with the maintenance of financial records and ledgers.
- Processing Transactions: Managing invoices, tracking expenses, and assisting with bank reconciliations.
- Financial Administration: Supporting the Senior Accountant with month-end procedures and reporting.
- Documentation: Ensuring all financial filing and records are organized and compliant.
- Team Support: Providing general administrative assistance to the finance department as the station expands.
Requirements
- Ambition to Learn: You should be currently pursuing an accounting qualification (ATI, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or be a recent graduate looking for your first professional break.
- Numerical Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; prior exposure to accounting software is a plus but training will be provided.
- Professionalism: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with total discretion.
- Communication: A friendly, professional manner and the ability to work well within a close-knit team.
