With us, you can shape how Vodafone Ireland shows up externally – building trust, influencing the conversation, and strengthening our reputation across the market.
You will lead Vodafone Ireland’s integrated external reputation strategy across PR, communications and public affairs, ensuring a clear and consistent narrative across media, policymakers, partners, customers and the wider public. This role brings together proactive storytelling, stakeholder engagement and issues management to position Vodafone as a credible and trusted voice on key economic, societal, regulatory and industry topics.
You’ll define and deliver a joined-up communications, PR and public affairs strategy aligned to business, policy and corporate priorities, translating complex technical, regulatory and commercial issues into clear, compelling external messaging. You will own the annual reputation plan, bringing together campaigns, policy communications and media engagement into a single, coherent approach.
Working closely with Public Affairs colleagues, you will shape how Vodafone’s policy positions and advocacy priorities are communicated externally. You’ll support engagement with policymakers, regulators, industry bodies and opinion formers through well-developed briefings, messaging and content, while advising on public sentiment, reputational risk and how external stakeholders are likely to respond to key issues.
You will design and deliver proactive PR and communications campaigns that build Vodafone’s profile, working with agencies and partners to deliver earned media, thought leadership and influencer activity. This includes identifying and developing high-impact “hero stories” that strengthen Vodafone’s reputation across areas such as ESG, innovation, connectivity and wider societal impact.
You’ll retain accountability for national and regional media relationships, managing reactive media queries with confidence and clarity, and leading issues and crisis communications in close coordination with Public Affairs and senior leadership.
You will oversee the development of high-quality content across channels, including press releases, speeches, LinkedIn, briefing notes and reports. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on external narrative, stakeholder communications and reputational risk, and you will measure and report on the impact of PR, communications and public affairs activity.
