Responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of substation equipment and associated electrical infrastructure in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Install HV and LV electrical systems.
Install switchgear, transformers and protection equipment.
Perform cable installation and terminations.
Execute maintenance and fault-finding activities.
Complete inspection and testing works.
Assist with outage and switching programmes.
Maintain accurate site records and test certificates.
Operate in accordance with ESB/EirGrid safety rules.
Participate in emergency response activities as required.
Requirements:
Qualified Electrician.
Full driving licence.
Safe Pass.
QA/QC certification preferred.
Experience in HV substations desirable.
Strong practical electrical skills.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
Safety-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently and within project teams.
