Assistant Accommodation Manager – Tourist Hostel
We are currently seeking a reliable, hands-on, and experienced Assistant Accommodation Manager – Tourist Hostel to join our hostel team. The successful candidate will support the Accommodation Manager in ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest satisfaction across all accommodation areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the housekeeping and accommodation department
- Supervise housekeeping staff, including cleaners and linen attendants
- Ensure dormitories, private rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are clean, safe, and well maintained
- Carry out regular inspections of all accommodation and public areas
- Allocate daily tasks and support staff scheduling
- Train, support, and motivate housekeeping team members
- Respond promptly to guest requests, issues, and complaints
- Monitor and control stock levels of cleaning products, linen, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Liaise with reception and maintenance teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with administration including rotas, attendance, and reports
- Support cost control and efficient use of resources
- Step in for the Accommodation Manager when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or accommodation supervision (hostel or hotel experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of health & safety standards
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings

Salary Depending on Experience
