Respiratory Healthcare Assistant
We are seeking a motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our busy Respiratory Laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality person centered care.
The role is temporary for 6 months and part time, 30 hours per week. Typical working pattern may be Monday to Friday, 7am - 1pm, however this is subject to change based on service needs.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning, preparation, and set-up of equipment for both limited and full overnight sleep studies.
Preparing sleep study equipment for patient use and ensuring equipment is ready for subsequent clinics.
Cleaning and maintaining respiratory diagnostic equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
Assisting with stock management and general housekeeping within the department.
Supporting the respiratory physiology team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
The Candidate:
QQI Level 5- major award, or equivalent - highly desirable
Displays effective communication skills
Works collaboratively with others.
Ability to work independently as appropriate
The ability to plan and organise effectively.
Experience in reception duties
Proficient IT skills relevant to the role
