The Role
MEGASYS® offers specialised services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
In the MEGASYS® Safety Officer role, you will work onsite at the customer location, providing safety support for the MEGASYS® team. This will include training , safety system reviews, auditing operations and maintenance tasks, reviewing and/or updating procedures and working with the customer on safety related issues. This position provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals to contribute to a dynamic and expanding business.

The Safety Officer role is on-site Monday – Friday dayshift position. Flexibility to work some after hours is required to assist operations with training and reviewing safety systems and auditing.
Duties:
- Ensure all processes and procedures comply with company standards and Irish law
- Develop and maintain company inspection reports for safety and quality
- Develop and implement site level documents which are determined to be required by site standards, customer requirements, or third-party audits
- Develop and implement site level documents and training which is determined during customer audits/meetings
- Conduct new hire training in coordination with site SMEs and Quality Engineers
- Conduct breathing air evaluations and certifications
- Conduct safety training as outlined by site requirements
- Point of contact for the customer regarding safety related issues (walk issues, update customer databases with required documentation, etc.)
- Conduct and/or assist with safety related safety drills
- Participate with customer related safety drills
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis on all Safety related incidents and provide support for Quality related incidents
- Review and update Site work instructions as part of 8D Root Cause Analysis
- Report quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation process
- Generate 4D / 8D, uploading to customer database
- Identify continuous improvement topics based on Safety and Quality evaluations
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial Hygiene, Safety & Occupational Health, Construction Management, or another technical Field
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) experience
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Experience in ISO9000 / ISO9001
- Understanding of P&ID’s
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
